A Kitty on the Edge
Have you noticed how cats never take the direct route anywhere? The Dust Bunny will tightrope walk over the top of the garden fence rather than get his paws wet on the dew soaked grass.
Then he will walk through a mud puddle before coming into the kitchen for his breakfast! This morning I found him sitting on the edge of a big flowerpot.
He pretended not to see me. Perhaps he was simply ignoring me.
But the sound of his bowl being filled with food proved to be too tempting for him to resist!
In true cat style he made his way towards the door, over the edges of the flowerpots....
Looking for a puddle to use for his grand dismount. Cats never take the direct route!

Cats are so clever and amazingly agile aren't they?!
ReplyDeleteThis one has his moments. He was asleep on the back of the sofa and rolled off! I didn't dare laugh, he gets SO offended. ; )
DeleteOh, you are so right! Just that way they are! Even clever in finding something muddy to walk through before they come into the house. :-)
ReplyDeleteMud, twigs, slugs and bugs all come in on his fur. He is a walking dustbin. : )
DeleteHi, That's SO funny! A few day's ago we took Libby outside and she LOVED it, she is now a little tiger! I don't know if I told you this but we got a... SCREEN HOUSE and that's where we put Libby then we let her look at the grass and then she went in the house by herself. Jess, Mom and I saw your blog post with Bubbles and it is so cute and funny!
ReplyDeleteLove,Sara
Libby is a very lucky little cat to have such a good home. I think the screen house is a great idea. She can enjoy the outdoors and still be safe. =^..^=
DeleteOh, the dust bunny is just a lovely looking cat.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Chris. He has the potential to be very handsome but honestly, he is a bit of a mess most of the time. There are always bits of garden stuck to him and slugs hitchhike on his fur! : )
