Rushing the Season
Here in Devon we seldom have harsh winters. We have wet winters, blustery winters and GREY winters but Spring seems to come early to our garden. I know it's only just February but there are little green shoots making their way through the earth already.
And you can find one or two early flowers who can't wait to bloom.
Regardless of their efforts, it's still winter and the sky is a leaden grey. To hurry Spring along, if only for this afternoon, we will have flowers on our table cloth and rosy cakes for tea.

Beautiful your rose cupcake! Spring is coming!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mrs Deer. : )
DeleteReally early to bloom! But really lovely ... so are the roses for tea...
ReplyDeleteWe no longer have roses but we will soon have daffodils. : )
DeleteDid you decorate those cupcakes your self? They are impressive and such a lovely pinky-peachy color.
ReplyDeleteYeap,I did. Ages ago, in another life, I used to make buttercream flowers to decorate cakes. I have forgotten how to do most of it. So I am trying to learn how to do it again. It's lots of fun and you can eat your mistakes! : )
