The Perfect Autumn Day
It is mid-November, you know winter is coming but today there was no evidence of the harsh weather to come. It was one of those once-a-year days when the weather was perfect, the foliage was perfect, and we had the time to enjoy it all.
This is what we used to call 'Indian Summer' when I was a kid growing up in the mid-west.
You know all this colour is on borrowed time. One good gust of wind or a heavy shower will certainly bring all of these leaves down.
So before it all blows away, let's take a minute to enjoy all the beautiful shades of the season. I took these photos in our garden early this morning as the sun began to climb higher in the sky.
When was the last time you saw daisies blooming in November?
Who knows how long this will last? If you believe the weather forecast we are due a change.
We'd best make the most of this absolutely perfect day.
