Bon Voyage Flat Stanley!
I've just come in from the Post Office. I was sending off (literally) our special guest, Flat Stanley. You will remember Flat Stanley from the Letter from America in a previous post. He was our Exchange Student who was squished flat and had been travelling the world by international postal services. Today he began is journey back to Illinois in the U.S.A.
We will miss Stanley. It has been fun acting as his tour guide.
His first visit was to Exeter to see the Cathedral .....
the Roman wall surrounding the city.....
and the old shops and buildings located on the Cathedral Close.
We had a great time seeing the sights with Stanley. Hope you did too!

During the Easter holiday, Stanley traveled in a Morgan sports car to see Powderham Castle, the home of the Earl and Countess of Devon. He had his first pasty for lunch, purchased in the Powderham Estate Farm Shop.
When visiting Devon you must have scones and tea.....
and visit the seashore!
And no trip to Great Britain would be complete without visiting one of our lovely gardens.
Soon Stanley will be home, telling the children in Sara's class all about his adventures in Great Britain.
Stanley arrived "home" safely on Saturday. The disk is loaded on the computer and pictures are being selected to take in later this week. Thank you so much for doing this. Stanley is a lucky little boy!
ReplyDeleteI am glad to hear Stanley arrived safely. It will be interesting to hear what photos Sara chooses.
