The Beach Hut Project - Part II

In Britain, this Spring the temperature has been colder than most of the winter!  And it has rained almost continuously, not beach hut weather, really.

But the British are a hardy lot and weather is no deterrent as long as there is a hot cup of tea available.   That's why Andy and I are so pleased to say we now have tea making facilities at the beach hut.

It's the first time I've ever used a camp stove so it's almost as exiting as Christmas for me!  No, I've NEVER been camping...EVER!

Andy assembled the little basket table, we've added a few more spotty accessories and we are ready for our first official cup of tea!

As  you can see from the umbrella, we are going to need that hot drink!

    1. It's like sandwiches and picnics. A sandwich at home is just lunch. A sandwich out of a basket is a PICNIC! : ) It's all about the location.

  3. It looks cosy. But I think you must let the doors open whether rain and cold wind or not, if that little window is the only source of light! I really admire the British endurance! ;-)

    1. I'll tell you a secret. On really blustery days I only open one door. I'd rather have the darkness than the cold wind! Brrrrrrr ; )

  4. Ah the joys of the British weather, but a cup of tea and sheltering from the wind and rain in your lovely beach hut sounds perfect to me :)

  5. Oh look! It is all just perfect - and you look justifiably pleased with it. Lovely pics. Now all you need is some sun - which is here today, hope it's with you too.

    1. Thank you! I've had so much fun shopping for all the little bits and pieces. Don't tell anyone, but for me, that is the best part. : ) I think the sun has decided to visit you today. That's OK, I can wait a little longer.

  7. P.S. I LOVE that you have number 13!!! One of my two favorite (and lucky) numbers. 27 being the other one! ;)

    1. I'd love to have a bit of 'art work' to decorate the back wall and then we must stop. We've maxed out the space for furniture. Andy would like a nice folding lounge chair but he has to do the shopping for that. It was fate that determined which beach hut we got. I believe in Karma, Kismet, Fate- whatever you call it. We were destined to have Number 13! : )X
