Early Tulips

Overnight a transformation has taken place in the garden.  The Easter daffodils have given way to the early tulips.  It is as if Nature knew Easter was over and it was time to move on.

From early morning to sunset, you can almost see the buds swelling and getting fatter.

An unusually warm afternoon has brought about a miraculous change... tulips in full flower!

Last autumn, I purchased some new tulips bulbs, several different varieties all in the very fashionable shade of 'blush.  This is the first to open.

If we have another warm, sunny day like today....

The yellow tulips will be blooming tomorrow!

    1. It's that amazing time of year when the garden 'springs' into life. A plant may be just in bud at breakfast and in full flower by suppertime. Magic!
