Early Tulips
Overnight a transformation has taken place in the garden. The Easter daffodils have given way to the early tulips. It is as if Nature knew Easter was over and it was time to move on.
From early morning to sunset, you can almost see the buds swelling and getting fatter.
An unusually warm afternoon has brought about a miraculous change... tulips in full flower!
Last autumn, I purchased some new tulips bulbs, several different varieties all in the very fashionable shade of 'blush. This is the first to open.
If we have another warm, sunny day like today....
The yellow tulips will be blooming tomorrow!
I love tulips. Mine aren't open here yet but it won't be long!
ReplyDeleteThe extra-warm sun on Monday made them burst open! : D
DeleteNow that is just sweet heaven to me!! Look at those lovelies!!! Your tulips are gorgeous my friend...cant wait to see more of the garden!! Nicole xoxo
ReplyDeleteIt's that amazing time of year when the garden 'springs' into life. A plant may be just in bud at breakfast and in full flower by suppertime. Magic!
DeleteOh your garden is absolutely gorgeous Debs - keep up the good work:-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Camilla! : D
DeleteI love tulips and what a beautiful, delicate colour the 'blush' one is.
ReplyDeleteI am very fond of peachy coloured flowers and purchased several different varieties of tulips in similar shades. I can't wait to see them all in bloom.
DeleteI never tire of flower pictures :) Keep 'em coming!
