Yellow and Blue
It's been one of 'those' days! I've been busy doing mundane things and running errands so not much to blog really. But something caught my eye as I was making a cup of tea.
In an effort to get them out of the way, I had chucked a few sad looking lemons into a cheap tin bowl. It must have been a trick of the light but suddenly those sad little lemons looked so beautiful against the dark blue enamel of the bowl.
The daffodils, forget-me-nots and grape hyacinths blooming in the garden are exactly the same colour combination.
So of course, I had to pick a few to make a miniature still life to photograph. In the meantime, my tea was stewing away in the pot!
YUCK! That pot of tea had to be thrown away. It was worth wasting a spoonful of tea leaves just to enjoy that wonderful combination of yellow and blue.

What a treat to make a proper tea tray for yourself! And with those colours too, which are my favourites.
ReplyDeleteI managed to find 6 bunches of daffs for £3 today. Bargainous.
I need to go shopping with you. That is a great bargain! : ) Enjoy!
DeleteOh yes, it looks so beautiful! These are my colours, too. But it's amazing: you already have blooming forget-me-not in your garden! Ours were far away from blooming. I have already admired them on the pic of your header!
ReplyDeleteThese little forget-me-nots have been growing in a crack in the pavement since February! I suppose the stone retains enough heat for them to bloom so early. They are now beginning to bloom in the flowerbeds, too.
DeleteWhat lovely spring colours!
ReplyDeleteIt's been so cold and dreary today. These little flowers really brightened my day. : )
