The Neighbourhood Watch

We live in a lovely neighbourhood of eight houses on a very short road.  Most of the time it's very quiet here, never the less, we all look out for one another.  I suppose you could say we have an informal Neighbourhood Watch.

Even the Dust Bunny takes his turn keeping watch.  Every evening he goes out on patrol to make sure everything is safe and quiet.  Occasionally, he dispatches an unruly mouse or chases off noisy hedgehogs.

He keeps his vigil until the sun is up and shining brightly through the bay windows.  Then he knows our neighbours are awake and will look after our little street.

It's time for the Dust Bunny to have a well earned nap.  He needs his sleep so he can do it all again tonight.  That's the great thing about a Neighbourhood Watch, you know someone is always looking out for you, day and night!

  1. Sleep well! Being on night duty is a lonely and exhausting job. I know that!

    1. He never complains but goes on the night watch regardless of the weather. Sometimes he brings home a 'gift'. : )

    1. He is the most untidy cat I have ever seen with fur always full of bits of twigs and leaves. When he is groomed he is lovely. : )
